Nicole Tang – Physiotherapist
Nicole has just recently joined the BSPC team, after having worked in Physiotherapy private practice for the past two years. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2013 with a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree, under her belt.
Nicole has experience treating a variety of Musculoskeletal conditions and Sporting injuries, and has been a sports trainer for the Old Xaverians football club.
She has a keen interest in Clinical Pilates and how this form of exercise can help improve people’s performance, health and wellbeing. She is a certified APPI Clinical Pilates Instructor, obtaining this title in 2013 whilst completing her final year of her Physiotherapy degree. In her previous work, she has instructed many pre- and post-natal Pilates classes for women, and seen how Clinical Pilates has facilitated their progress through pregnancy, and improved their return to activity after giving birth.
With Nicole’s experience and knowledge in the above areas, she uses a combination of manual therapy techniques and exercise to help people achieve their peak performance and function in daily life.
Nicole’s affinity and empathy with people with injuries increased after she completely ruptured her Achilles tendon playing netball in 2014, subsequently requiring surgical repair. However, this did not stop her from returning to exercise and activity.
Outside of work, Nicole is a keen outdoor runner and early-morning Bootcamp enthusiast. She has participated in 10km fun runs in Melbourne, as well as a half-marathon in Singapore. Growing up, tennis and basketball were her main sports of choice, and she has even worked as a tennis coach for her old secondary school team. She loves watching the tennis Australian Open when it rolls around every year. She also loves going out to eat at different restaurants and cafes, baking and travelling the world.
