Marnie is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist with years of experience in the massage industry. She’s a mother of four children and has always worked in the health industry, firstly as a personal carer in aged care. In 2004 she became a qualified Registered Nurse Division 2. She focused her energies in many hospitals including Epworth Eastern where she worked in the orthopaedic ward.
Working in hospitals took its toll on Marnie but the passion for helping alleviate people’s pain did not waiver. Instead, Marnie enrolled at Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy (MIMT) in 2015 to become a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist.
Marnie just like the rest of us that works for Balwyn Sports and Physiotherapy Centre – is very active in sports and fitness. She was a keen Netballer but recently discovered a love for Obstacle Course Racing (ORC), participating in a variety of training schedules such as strength and conditioning, obstacle training, HIIT classes and running at least 4-5 times per week.
Her active lifestyle has sparked in her the love for treating clients with sporting related injuries and dysfunctions with a focus on recovery, maintenance and well-being.
On her spare weekends, Marnie finds herself involved with the local Junior Football and Basketball clubs.
