Introducing Our Foot & Ankle Rehabilitation Class
At BSPC, we’re proud to launch what we believe may be an Australian first: a dedicated Foot & Ankle Rehabilitation Class designed to support recovery and improve outcomes for people managing injuries or preparing for (or recovering from) surgery.
We know that successful recovery from foot and ankle surgery—or any lower limb injury—is about more than just the procedure itself. A well-structured rehabilitation plan plays a critical role in restoring strength, reducing complications, and helping patients return to the activities they love.
That’s why we’ve created a specialised physiotherapy-led class that focuses on exactly that!

What Is the Foot & Ankle Rehabilitation Class?
This 45-minute class is led by experienced physiotherapists and is designed to:
- Restore strength and mobility in the foot, ankle, and lower leg
- Reduce recovery time and support better surgical outcomes
- Improve balance and coordination
- Prevent re-injury by retraining movement patterns
- Support safe and confident return to activity
Whether you’re recovering from a recent injury or preparing for surgery, our class provides the focused rehabilitation you need—backed by evidence, tailored to your goals.
Who Is This Class For?
This class is ideal for:
- People preparing for foot or ankle surgery (pre-habilitation)
- Post-operative patients requiring ongoing, structured rehab
- Individuals recovering from ankle sprains, strains, or fractures
- Athletes aiming to improve performance and prevent injury
- Anyone who wants to improve balance and reduce the risk of falls
How the Foot and Ankle Class Works
Step 1: Initial 1:1 Physiotherapy Assessment
We begin with a comprehensive one-on-one consultation to determine your individual needs, goals, and class suitability.
Step 2: Join the Class
Classes run in small group blocks of 5 sessions, allowing for personalised guidance in a supportive environment.
We also offer a Foot Restoration Kit—available at a discounted rate—to support your home recovery between sessions.

Why This Program Works
We take an evidence-based approach, tracking patient progress through both subjective feedback and objective outcome measures. With informed patient consent, we’re gathering data with the aim of publishing future research—because we believe this class offers a cost-effective, impactful solution for enhancing surgical recovery.
We also work closely with referring surgeons and GPs, ensuring consistent communication and integration with your broader treatment plan. And yes—private health fund rebates may apply (Code 560 Physiotherapy).
