Mathanki Winayakan, Physiotherapist

Mathanki graduated from Monash University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours).

Mathanki has gained extensive experience working in the private hospital sector in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. Mathanki has also worked in private practice with a focus on orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.

Mathanki’s passion for Physiotherapy was sparked by her own experience managing injuries from cross country running and skiing. Mathanki has a special interest in sporting injuries and is passionate about creating injury prevention and return-to-sport programs.

Mathanki is committed to helping her patients achieve their goals, whether it’s returning to their favourite sport, overcoming an injury, or managing a chronic condition.

Mathanki also has several years’ experience working for local men’s and women’s football teams, providing physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to the players. Although, now you may find her on the field as a small forward/back pocket player for the Ivanhoe Amateur Football Club.
