Matt graduated with a Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne in 2025. Prior to physiotherapy, he worked as a Physical Performance Coach with Tennis Australia, including three years working exclusively with Grand Slam champion Samantha Stosur. During this time, Matt supported both junior and senior athletes and was Physical Performance Coach for the Australian Billie Jean King Cup team during their successful 2018–2019 campaigns.
Since 2016, Matt has also held an academic teaching position at Deakin University, contributing to lecturing, seminars and practical instruction within the Exercise & Sport Science degree. His background in elite sport and education allows him to combine high-performance principles with clear, practical guidance for patients of all levels.
Matt has a strong interest in sporting injury management and enjoys guiding patients through rehabilitation to return to sport fitter and more resilient than before. He also has a special interest in treating back, neck and upper limb conditions using a multimodal, evidence-based approach tailored to each individual.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Matt on the tennis court, at the golf course, walking his two chihuahuas, or exploring Melbourne’s vibrant food scene. He brings an energetic, collaborative and patient-centred approach to care and looks forward to helping you achieve your goals.
